Dear reader,

In today’s article I want to define the Concept of a ‘Solisticty’ more in depth so that when you are interested in such a development you could help me in my research and efforts in working towards such a vision. A vision that could be similar to that of the Venus project, a project I think many are willing to work for cause it is an ideal. On the other end for many the Venus project, especially with the prospect of WW3 is a far away vision at best, perhaps realised a few hundred years from now. Therefore it could be wise to break down a timetable for this over a span of 200 years. To ‘Thrive’ as described in the the mission statement of this website is what the Venus project also implies and why such a goal is a positive aim to strive for. The difference between merely surviving, either in decadence with a job you do not like nor in poverty due to ones socioeconomic position is of aptitude compared to the experience of thriving. The experience of thriving as a collective dominant factor would manifest something like that of a Venus project by which the general size of their inhabitants make sure there is plenty of room for guiding people into self-actualisation. I hope that the content of this website and ongoing content specifically orientated towards conceptualisation the ideal city life can be of assistance in your personal growth.

In my own research and work so far into the above I have made a lot of offline notes I want to make comprehensive articles for on this site. It’s already fun to just play with the abbreviation S.I.C. ; it all depends on you/us as Creative Sentient Individuals working together towards a brighter future by which the general notion is that basic needs are met so you could and should work on actualisation to craft a brighter future for oneself.

I felt hugely inspired by movies like The Fountainhead and Castle in a sky to name a few. In the first the architect tries his utmost best to keep in touch with his creative integrity in a world bombarded with regulation and protocol when it comes down to building cities. In the latter it is a Japanese famous anime by which some form of Lapuda or ecological technology in combination with the right spirit of the people will lead to a city that can be called a Castle In a Sky, another way to abbreviate S.I.C. from an anthropological and neomaterial perspective are questions like; what is a sky? what is a castle to begin with? rather then a place to provide safety, a castle makes sense, besides perhaps how the geometry of a building could mean something symbolical and also energetically in creating decentralised energy hubs. A house nor a construction is from a neomaterialistic perspective more then just a place for safety, shelter nor warmth. However when asked what is a sky? It is harder to give a concrete answer or you must be just as scientifically numbed like the rest of the academic world. The mystique and quest behind the anthropological inquiry into what a sky really is should keep your high on your feet in keeping the dream alive or any dream for that sake. The city dream I call Solisticity is some form of a city ship by which we make cities/buildings in ways that they are self-regenerative. Like earth ships but then more advanced. The general notion is the same; namely creating architecture that is part of not distinct from the environment, making sure to integrate into the whole so that it won’t create sink hols for example and ideally generates there own form of water nor food somehow through city gardens and balconies. The philosophy is quite simple as opposed to the application of such a dream, since it is the philosophy of complex, adaptive systems, the self-organization and redundancy we see in almost every ecological system. A Lapuda is therefore not some form of magic technological fix, rather then a philosophical understanding into the neomateriality of the sky, the earth, water et cetera and finding ways to cooperate in building a better place for all that is somehow integrated with ecosystems instead of trying to conquer them. An example is the contemporary struggle of The Netherlands to make up their mind about what to do with sea level rise? is it better to go alongside water this time around nor is it still worth it to fight sea level rise?

So when can a city be called a S.I.C.? What is the best depiction of a bright vision in which Civilions can come together in such a Spirit that true Intelligence might arise due to more time and energy spend of self-actualisation? What are the standards to qualify a S.I.C.? If society is a reflection of the people inhabiting that society then the cities they live in and the architecture they use is also a reflection of that same psyche. The dominant factor in the consciousness of people will determine greatly what kind of standard a city lives by. Now we can all anticipate that with contemporary challenges like that of climate degeneration, migration, war and social inequality we either grow stronger and more compassionate in our consciousness or we generally speaking don’t. Statistics matter in this regard, since mathematically speaking it would only take 4 % of high consciousness awareness to change a society or put it unto a better trajectory. Therefore if you are reading this and you are a bit like me waking up in a world that is faced with enormous challenges, educated people should be aware of, then this either changes your life for the better or it doesn’t. That being said, if you lack purpose in life then just by reading my core values of ‘strength’, ‘reunification/compassion/growing in mutual understanding and thriving there is plenty to pick from. Just being healthy whatever that means to you is already a challenge in a polluted world with toxins of which we have no thorough understanding how this impacts the brain and our DNA. The neomateriality of plastics in our bodies and oceans is an example for this.

If an earthship as a model example for a S.I.C. in a proper climate can make sure you have some food, water, warmth and energy and that doing this as a collective will generate a hub of small factories rather then consumption based houses, then you can imagine there is more free time. Depending on how automatised your version of an Earthship is you would only spend up to 3 hours a day to make sure basic needs are met. Then communal life starts, you would have 5+ hours to spend on making a different kind of contribution, cause you can ask yourself the honest question if your current day to day workload is really contributing to some noble cause? How many jobs actually do more harm then good due to an inadequate way to account for multiple values. Then it is the same philosophical questions as the following; What would you do if time and money would not exist? Who would you become if you are able to think without such boundaries? And more importantly how would the world become if thinking besides and alongside such boundaries can be more common for those less mastered in navigating life? Not everyone can live on a frequency like this due to levels of mastery, hence the 4% rule, so by providing a decentralised hub of earthships/S.I.C.S/ways of creating Lapuda’s in our architecture then there is plenty of basic needs to go by to assist others in reaching their highest potential. To add on the above, I cycled to Rome wildcamping on a bike while also working on this website, which to me is a form of purpose. Not everyone is willing to go that far which is understandable, however, there are always pathways to take to continue working on a purposeful life despite your circumstances. This is why the highest good used to be inner knowledge and wisdom. To master thyself was a goal in and of itself cause it was the main engine that would actually generate the greatest wealth in terms of inventions, creativity et cetera.

So one great benefit of self-development, self-reliance and being a student of practical philosophy and psychology is that you gain more intrinsic power to navigate a harsh reality with less. You will be more inventive, so imagine having that attitude and also making sure that security is better provided for due to a.e. a decentralised solution for food and energy production. The trend in which consumers become prosumers. This is basically the dream, that that 4 procent rule of thumb awareness levels will be notched up to perhaps double that effect of 8%. It might be like having a few extra Christ consciousness individuals walking around to assist highly challenging circumstances into a gradual improvement of coming towards an ideal like that of Venus and mitigating antropogenic effects for future generations to come.

In previous articles I already tried to give some pointers into combining my existing research into self-organizing processes with the idea of an selforganizing city here;

Principles/conditions for self-organization in human systems

How can a city be designed in such a way that basic needs are provided for by some form of automaton nor Lapuda, so that the inhabitants are not doomed to work in meaningless nor mediocre satisfying jobs until their pension plans. ChatGPT could be an example for this to automatise relative low skilled repetitive creative work. Ideally you would want creative sentient individuals to act upon their creative interests, could that be in village life nor city life. To produce the highest amount of creative surplus would mean that you want more out of your civilians to surthrive better, either in village life nor city life. What you don’t want is people living below their potential cause they have to scrape by for food, warmth and energy. This is why the number of 4% is also so low, only a few are actually willing to fast and continue to work on their lives biggest projects, cause they are mostly intrinsically driven. Thereby saying that our current models of providing basic needs are still highly unsustainable if you want to provide a quality life for like 10 billion people in 2050.

Since the village is the start point for any great city to emerge, I think we should not forget these humble begin points by which communal bonds and the local bakery as a meeting point for sustenance and exchange should not be forgotten. The spoils of any city, sustainable orientated or not can make the best of all forget how precious a city can be. Ukraine can viscerally speak these words in the flesh, having to fear bombshelling daily. Or when an earthquake in Turkey ruins artefacts and livelihoods. Such events makes for humble avenues in realising that working towards a S.I.C., is basically an Atlantian dream, a vision to provide the best of cities, technologically and philosophically. To redeem lost civilisations with decentralised energy hubs, local permaculture solutions for crops and the guidance to achieve self-mastery, which is the last mile in my opinion anyway.

Imagine walking through an Atlantian city of which the whole purpose of the architecture was actually to make you realise certain philosophical truths that transcend time and space.

So what is architecture worth if it is not referring to some higher insight that might not have been realised if the arc was just used for survival.

Every architecture dissipates in the span of time, the symbolical meaning would not.

Thanks for the read,

KJB
